After our contractor Herbert H Drew & Son sadly went into administration in May we were left with no choice but to temporarily put works on site at Scholars’ Walk on hold.
This experience has been a first for us in our 65 years of business at Perbury. It has been a frustrating time for us, as well as for those who have plots reserved and were hoping to be in occupation by the end of the Summer.
However, I am very pleased to say that we have now appointed a new contractor Colmar Construction (Poole) Ltd to continue works. Colmar is an established construction specialist based in Poole with a wealth of experience covering the entire construction spectrum.
Whilst it may take them a week or two to ‘settle in’, we’re confident that we’ll be able to see some November occupations, and prior to that the long awaited show home launch in Plot 1. Watch this space!
Charters Estate Agents of Chandlers Ford today launched our exclusive development of 5 four bedroom detached family homes in North Baddesley.
All homes at Nutburn Meadows are designed to the same Perbury high standard, with stunning modern kitchens featuring integrated appliances, designer bathrooms, wood burning stoves, gas central heating, complete with either hard flooring or carpet and all with landscaped gardens.
Call Charters now for further details. Prices start at £600,000
We are very pleased to say that works have now started on site in the very desirable Sea Front area of Hayling Island, virtually a stones throw from the beach on the South side of the island.
Once demolition of the existing building is completed ground works can begin on this complex of 13 two and three bedroom luxury apartments including a unique 3 bedroom penthouse apartment! Each apartment will have its own balcony with a view of the sea.

Perbury Foundation supports local charities with donations of £3,750 over the past 12 months
Perbury’s charitable foundation has made donations to a number of local charities in support, including Emmaus Hampshire – an enterprise community for the homeless, Joe Glover Trust – a children’s charity supporting the families of children diagnosed with cancer, Challengers – a charity providing help through play for disabled children, Jane Scarth House – a walk-in cancer support centre in Romsey, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People – who help reduce the isolation and loneliness deafness can bring, Honeypot Children’s Charity – who offer both respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children, and fundraising for Voluntary Services Overseas for Lilly O’Brien (pictured above) to undertake a 3 month volunteer placement in Nepal encouraging accessible education for children, and helping set up a health clinic for local villages.
Care Village Scheme permitted on Baddesley Road, Ampfield
We are incredibly pleased to announce that a resolution to grant outline planning permission to Perbury Developments was given by Members of the Southern Area Planning Committee of Test Valley Borough Council last night.
The scheme will involve the demolition and removal of all existing buildings and vehicles from the site, and the provision of up to 149 ‘extra care living’ apartments , with a core community building, set in a parkland setting with the retention and strengthening of landscaped boundaries to Flexford Nature Reserve, Trodds Copse and the Monks Brook.
Residents of the Care Village will be restricted to the elderly (65 years and over) and in need of some assistance with ‘day to day’ living , but will also deliver a membership facility for access to a Day Centre for elderly persons living within the local community.
We now begin work to complete the necessary S106 Legal Agreement, and to start work on discharging planning conditions and preparing the detailed design proposals to accompany the Reserved Matters application.
This is a great opportunity to secure the long term future of an underused and unsightly ‘brownfield’ site on the edge of Chandlers Ford, within the Parish of Ampfield.
Work is well under way at the Abbotswood Local centre with the roofs starting to go on at Minstead Place and Radcliffe Row.
The development of six sizeable retail units, each with a 2 bedroom flat above, and a separate block of two 2 bed houses and two 2 bed maisonettes is already generating lots of interest so make sure you don’t miss out by contacting Osmond Brookes on 02380 002020 email firstname.lastname@example.org or click here for more information
