We are incredibly pleased to announce that a resolution to grant outline planning permission to Perbury Developments was given by Members of the Southern Area Planning Committee of Test Valley Borough Council last night.
The scheme will involve the demolition and removal of all existing buildings and vehicles from the site, and the provision of up to 149 ‘extra care living’ apartments , with a core community building, set in a parkland setting with the retention and strengthening of landscaped boundaries to Flexford Nature Reserve, Trodds Copse and the Monks Brook.
Residents of the Care Village will be restricted to the elderly (65 years and over) and in need of some assistance with ‘day to day’ living , but will also deliver a membership facility for access to a Day Centre for elderly persons living within the local community.
We now begin work to complete the necessary S106 Legal Agreement, and to start work on discharging planning conditions and preparing the detailed design proposals to accompany the Reserved Matters application.
This is a great opportunity to secure the long term future of an underused and unsightly ‘brownfield’ site on the edge of Chandlers Ford, within the Parish of Ampfield.
Work is well under way at the Abbotswood Local centre with the roofs starting to go on at Minstead Place and Radcliffe Row.
